Little did I know...
Reading Achievement Award
Best Japanese Student Award
Advanced Reader Points Champion
Most Improved Student Award
And my Personal Favorite...P.E. AllStar Award (Seriously? Ryan is the clumbsiest kid I know. This one had to be for effort more than ability)
He did okay. :) Another mother came up to me afterward and asked if Ryan would be willing to share with the rest of the kids. It is a little bratty for Ry to be so spoiled. These kids have so many different teachers that it wasn't a matter of figuring out one award for each kid. The Japanese award was chosen by the Japanese teacher. The AR award was based on points Ryan got for reading books and testing on them. The P.E. award was chosen by the coaches. The Improvement award came from grades. And the Reading achievement was based on how they tested in their current reading level. I've been talking to Ry about not being snotty about this. But I am pretty dang proud.
Ryan is an amazing kid and I am so blessed to have him in my family. A special thanks to my friend Nikki for the use of her non-toilet water saturated camera.
WE LOVE YOU RYAN!!
Way to go Ryan! He's a great kid.
ReplyDeleteOH my gosh, he is so cute in that video. What a smarty pants! Amazing what a kid that young can learn. I would be really proud too Amy!

ReplyDeleteRyan, I really wish that I could talk in different languages. Maybe when I get there you could teach me some spanish. Congratulations on all of your trophies. Where are you going to keep them? Make sure Mommy puts your certificities in a special book to keep it nice for you. I love you and am so proud of you. Love, Grandma
